Welcome
Homesickness… we’ve all experienced it in our childhood. But is it just a childhood longing? What if the longing and yearning we all feel is a kind of divine homesickness? What if what we’re searching for in our day-to-day living is home - that place where we know we belong, where we’re accepted, loved and feel safe?
At Christ United Methodist, we understand that this sense of home is not about church; it’s much bigger than that. We realize that being together in real worship helps us figure out why we’re homesick. Being included in a family of believers helps us find that homeward path and avoid those routes that lead to nowhere.
Feeling a little shy about coming to a church? It’s OK—lots of us do, but here’s a safe way to give it a test drive. Pay us a visit on Sunday morning and we will welcome you with open arms. Greeters are available to guide you and answer any questions. Wear whatever you like. You’ll see folks in coats and ties and others in blue jeans.
Another service that offers a more informal setting is our Wednesday night supper and Bible study during the school year. We eat a home-cooked meal together, and then we enjoy a Bible study. Supper is served in our fellowship hall starting at 4:45, and the Bible study begins at 6:00. Why don't you join us?
